The state lottery has recently reported that Maryland’s two casinos, the Hollywood Casino Perryville and the new Eastern Shore casino, brought in $10.8 million just last month.
The Hollywood Casino opened late last September, and has increased its revenue since December from $140.58 daily per machine to $165.96, collecting a total of $7.7 million last month. The Casino at Ocean Downs opened on January 4th, and has generated $3 million. It currently averages at $144.54 daily per machine.
Together, the two casinos have made more than $38.3 million since their openings. Casino enthusiasts and companies like Sightline Payments with Kirk Sanford would certainly be glad to hear of the success of new casinos throughout the United States following the recession, including these two in Maryland.
